Professional Year in Review
I had the idea to put together a year in review post. These are a few of the professional highlights I had for 2019. These are photos that I wasn’t necessarily paid to make but represent my creative ability. I love the opportunity to perfect my skills so that I can serve my clients to the best of my ability.
Shoot & Share Contest:
For the last 2 years I have entered a photo contest put on by Shoot & Share. It’s one of the largest free photo contest in the nation. Over 16k photographers entered over 580K photos in the 2019 contest. I had 2 photos place in the top 10% and 3 in top 30% in their categories. Which is pretty good considering that each of those categories had 20k plus photos in them. Each year I’ve done better then the pervious year. I’m excited for the 2020 contest which is starting this month.
#1 Top 10%
#2 Top 10%
#3 Top 30%
#4 Top 30%
#5 Top 30%
Apple Valley Shoot:
This next shoot was all about the details. I loved all the beautiful floral arrangements. It was a challenging shoot because of torrential rain all day. Thankfully I’ve had a bit of practice with rain on wedding days and have learned some tricks to hide all that water.
Emerald Peak Shoot:
This next shoot was a huge highlight for me. Not only was the shoot a success but my photos were published in a photography magazine! I was given 2 full page spreads as well as many other photos throughout the article. I even made it in a picture myself, along with all the other vendors lol.
A few favorites from the shoot. If you want to see the full blog post click here.
Boho Inspiration Shoot:
The last shoot of the year hit a huge goal of mine. I’ve been dreaming of a desert themed engagement session, and it finally happened. The white sand of the wash against the red cliff rock was amazing. Definitely my favorite photos from the entire year!

On to 2020! I can’t wait to work hard and make some killer photos!
