Europa Village’s Styled Challenge

A Southern Bride Magazine Feature to Celebrate

I’m incredibly honored to share that my work was recently featured in Southern Bride Magazine as part of their newest styled challenge issue. The challenge brought together three talented event designers who each created a unique wedding vision. Photographers were then invited to capture each space, with one photographer chosen as the winner for each design. With over a dozen photographers participating, it was a huge honor to be selected as the winning photographer for one of the featured designs. Each designer received a full magazine spread using images from the winning photographer, making this recognition especially meaningful.

Europa Village as the Backdrop for Creative Vision

The editorial took place at Europa Village, a venue known for its immersive European-inspired spaces. The property features three distinct areas themed after Italy, France, and Spain, offering a variety of atmospheres for events and photography. The winning design I photographed took place inside the Spanish-inspired Bolero wine cave, a dramatic and intimate setting perfect for editorial storytelling. The textured stone walls and moody lighting gave the entire shoot depth and richness, creating an unforgettable setting for a wedding vision.

Capturing Louise and Third’s Winning Design in Bolero

I was selected as the winning photographer for planner and designer Louise and Third, whose Bolero design embraced drama, romance, and layered textures. Her concept unfolded through deep plum, burgundy, and beige tones that filled the wine cave with quiet opulence. Hundreds of candles flickered against velvet draping to create a mysterious, intimate atmosphere. Textural details added depth throughout the space, from custom fringe bench covers to tassel accents inspired by Spanish flamenco fashion. Dark floral motifs appeared across menus, bar panels, invitations, and the cake, tying every design element together beautifully. Photographing this space was a reminder of how thoughtful design and creative collaboration can transform a venue into an unforgettable experience.
