Family Photo Session | Live Oak Park

Fallbrook, CA

I had the opportunity this last fall to photograph my friends at Live Oak Park down in Fallbrook. It’s only a short drive from Temecula. And it has a super cute little botanical garden that is a perfect setting for family photos. And once it hits golden hour the colors in the trees and plants are amazing.

We met this family through our church in a rather unusual way. In the spirit of trying to meet new families I put out a social media invite for others to join us on a local camping trip. I probably fool most people but I’m not naturally the outgoing type. So I was really happy when someone replied to my post and also a little nervous I had to meet someone new. This family took a chance and  booked the site next to us! They were actually the only other family to join us so we had plenty of time to get to know them. Our husbands are in the same profession and us moms bonded over our homeschooling adventures. Our kids are around the same ages and had a blast climbing trees and digging in the dirt together.

Super glad I broke out of my comfort zone cause I know we are going to be family friends forever. ;p
