Styled Shoot | Sunset Hills

Apple Valley, Ca

Reposting this shoot from last year at Sunset Hills (view the wedding venue here). I noticed it was deleted along with the website in the fiasco of last January. This shoot was a two-for. We had two separate themes going on at the same time. A winter and a spring. Soft pastel pink and pretty china were the inspiration for the winter theme, a very traditional and classic feel. The spring theme was of course inspired by spring blooms, fresh and fun. Lovely bright pops of colorful florals everywhere. The centerpieces and bouquets are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever photographed, so I kinda went crazy on photos of them.

It was pouring rain all day so we had to get creative and move decor and people around so as not to get drenched. The situation wasn’t ideal but sometimes thats just what happens on a real wedding day and you just have to roll with the punches and make the best of a terrible situation. Some of my favorite photos are the ones taken of the brides on the back covered balcony. Which we probably wouldn’t have even been up there if it wasn’t for the rain. So there was a little rainbow in it after all.
