Fish Creek Wash | Anza Borrego, CA
Driving out to this boho desert inspired styled shoot was an adventure for me. If your someone who loves off roading and blazing your own trail I have found the perfect photo location for you. Thankfully the coordinator planned to have the vendors chauffeured a short distance to this precise location because I would have never found this spot by myself. Mostly because I get lost every time I go somewhere for the first time (even with maps). And secondly because I’m a big rule follow. I’m just not one to to drive off the paved road and fly by the seat of my pants. But this location is so worth driving up the creek bed for!
This desert spot in Anza Borrego is incredible. The red rock of the canyon walls contrast beautifully will the fine white sand of the creek bed. It’s a stunning location for engagement or elopement photos. Though any adventurous couples or families would enjoy the fun off roading trip.
For this shoot we were privileged to have two couples model for us. One couple as our bride and groom, the other served as our engaged couple. There was a simple wedding set up that could be easily transported into the canyon. While simple it wasn’t lacking in detail, thats for sure. The handmade macrame pieces are works of art and really tied that boho feel altogether. I loved the eucalyptus and dried pieces in the floral arrangements, especially the pampas grass. The rug from the ceremony set-up almost found itself in the trunk of my car! JK! It would go so perfectly in my house though. 😉 Needless to say this was a fun shoot and I hope you enjoy all the little details.
