Rainy New Years Eve Wedding

The old saying…
Traditional belief holds that rain on your wedding day is a sign of “good luck” or “blessing”. This is believed, because as most know, a wet knot is much harder to untie than a dry one. Therefore as you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage will be just as hard to untie. Isn’t that a beautiful picture? Rain also symbolizes cleansing and nourishing. Those words are so fitting and they describe Eleni and Aarons relationship so perfectly.
The story…
Eleni and Aaron met each other during the lowest season of life for the both of them. Each of them reeling from heart break after devastating previous marriage and relationships commitments. Only through their sincere faith in God, encouragement from mentors at their local church, and the love and support of their families and close firends did they find comfort and peace. The healing process is long and hard. Neither party could have foreseen a relationship forming from their by “chance” meeting a year prior. Their story is a wonderful example of God’s grace and restoration. Praise God for His wonderful plan to unite this family of six and make them whole.
The New Year…
The bride and groom decided on a New Years Eve wedding. They wanted to ring in the new year to new beginnings and their new life together. A sudden forecast of torrential rains only several days before Eleni and Aarons big day was something no one expected. You might think that rain in December would be a given, but it’s actually very rare for us in Southern California this time of year. The wedding was supposed to be held outdoors at a friends beautiful estate. But after the weather reports we knew there would be no possibility for an outdoor celebration. Thankfully a local Temecula venue had a last minute opening, and with only 2 days left before New Years Eve this was a huge relief. It in fact did end up raining all day! But with everyone pulling together, family, friends, and wedding vendors this day was made possible.
