Verdin Family Portrait Session
This has never happened before! And I might have had a small panic attack when I arrived at Rose Haven for this evening family photo session. I can laugh at myself looking back now. But at first I was so worried that I wasn’t going to be able to give this family the beautiful portraits they were expecting us to create this day. I couldn’t stop thinking “What on earth am I going to do!?”
My clients chose Rose Haven Garden for its beautiful landscape and colorful flowers. Also it’s usually very secluded and tranquil. The perfect place to spend a late afternoon for a photo session. Unfortunately when we arrived this particular day was also the same day several local high schools where having homecoming dances. There was probably over 200 high schoolers, their family and friends all trying to take photos in this little park. Everywhere you looked there were groups of people all dressed up. I noticed a few other family photographers there as well vying for space. To say it was a mad house would be an understatement!
There was no way I was going to let my clients down! Setting aside my fears that these crowds would ruin our day, I trusted my skills and training to get us through and work around everyone. The location is absolutely gorgeous (even with all the extra people), and I felt we could totally make this work. The weather was perfect, and afternoon light was amazing! Thankfully I have the best clients, who trusted me enough to stay at this location. They had wonderful attitudes and remained joyful and enjoyed their time together. Their reaction to the situation, honestly, is how we were able to capture all these beautiful moments.
I absolutely love all the images we created! It was so hard to go through and pick out a handful. Thank you Verdin family for believing in me and allowing me the pleasure of photographing your family again!
