Valentines Mini Session
Greene Sisters – Surprise, Arizona
This weekend was my first styled mini session! Using Valentines Day as my inspiration, I put together a fun and simple little set up. Coupled with props that I own, I also handmade some fun details. Which included the red hearts garland, the lace bunting and the gold glitter letters. I’m definitely in love with styled shoots now, and will plan on creating several more this year!
My sister made this gorgeous teepee for my daughters for Christmas. When she told me she wanted to make the girls a teepee I was expecting a little tent like you can buy at toys-r-us. I was blown away to see this amazing 6ft teepee covered in beautiful fabric. My girls love to sit and read inside of it, its the perfect place to snuggle with a little book.
The session took place in Surprise, Arizona near the White Tank Mountains. We’ve been fortunate to experience some rain the last few weekends out here. Making this usually barren desert very green, which makes my photographer heart very happy. In light of the extremely crazy weather that day, super windy, almost rain yet super bright sun popping through, we managed to get some really cute pictures.
These little sisters did a fantastic job. You can see the sisterly affection they have for each other. It was sweet to witness them caring for each other and making sure the other didn’t step on any small cacti (which I discovered are everywhere in the desert). This was my second time getting to photograph these girls and it was a pleasure. I so appreciate my clients!
Enjoy!
Loving what the rain has done to my backdrop. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving the Arizona desert, but sometimes your vision just really requires a green landscape.
The teepee fabric was a beautiful white sheer voile fabric and a light cream lace fabric.
Who doesn’t love some gold glitter!
