Southern California isn’t well known for its lush landscapes. So when your looking for somewhere local thats green and pretty in the winter where do you go? A Christmas tree farm of course! Wickerd farm is only about a 15 minute drive from Temecula and the owners are kind enough to allow photographers on their property*. I did some really cute kids mini sessions with a hot chocolate stand a few years ago there. Click here to check those out.
This session couldn’t have gone better. I really love the wardrobe choices this mamma made. The blush and cream colors really made them stand out against the green trees. The little floral head crowns for the girls were adorable and add a little extra touch of pretty. Also this awesome mom rocked the session and walked around for an hour with a broken toe! And in high heels! I couldn’t ask for more prefect clients! (Though I would prefer you all with no injuries 😉 Thank you for the opportunity to photograph your family this year!
I loved how fun this family session was and its probably one of my favorites in a Christmas tree farm. One of the reasons I like it so much is actually the fact that even though its at a tree farm it doesn’t look “Christmasy”. My client could have these photos on her wall all year long and they wouldn’t look out of place.
* Wickerd farm does have a small fee for sessions on their property. This helps keep their farm available and not overrun by the general public. Clients are responsible for the fee if you choose this location for your session.
